Yulia O’Mahony believes that the wellbeing of people and a culture of inclusion should be front of mind for all businesses for commercial as well as societal reasons. She was John Lewis Partnership’s first ever Wellbeing Lead in 2017, becoming first Head of D&I & Wellbeing in 2018. Since then, she has worked closely with JLP’s executive team and senior leaders on what wellbeing and inclusion mean today and its impact on the UK’s largest co-owned business. She’s been developing JLP’s wellbeing and D&I strategy and piloting new initiatives, working with Samaritans, Unmind, BIT/ The Nudge Unit, Wellcome Trust and others. She a wealth of experience in strategy, operations, and finance, having worked for leading consulting firms in UK, USA, Europe and Russia, and leadership roles in John Lewis. Previously she worked with British Retail Consortium to develop the Retail 2020 programme focused on creating better jobs in UK retail.
